Before the year ends, I want to say thank you.
When I stepped into the Chief of Staff world, every single CoS I met (without exception!) was generous with their time, welcoming of all my questions and deeply invested in doing the work well. You offered me context, shared lessons and showed me the ropes without any expectation in return.
Seeing so many of you subscribe to RHB and share it with others tells me something important: this community cares about judgment, not optics. About doing the real work, not performing in the role.
I see the standard you hold yourselves to. I respect it. And I’ll keep writing with that bar in mind.
More to come in 2026! And with that…
Make Priorities Simple Again
A wildly uncomplicated way to prioritize.
The Burn Filter
A fan favorite for a reason: triage beats heroics. Plus it’s fun to say… “LET IT BURN!”
COO vs. Chief of Staff
My clearest articulation of how these roles actually differ.
Bias Toward Action
Moving fast creates momentum, generates excitement and surfaces real-time information.
The Ceramic Cup
A reminder that access belongs to the role, not the ego.
